This is from our brief trip to Yellowstone in the last week of May.  Lots of delightful sights and it was relatively good weather all the time.

Cute twins have arrived

June 25th was the big day! Baby Joy first - 5 pounds 11 ounces  Love that dimple!!

Then baby Jacob Thomas - 5 pounds 8.5 ounces

Both are home with their sweet family now and doing very well. They just need to get their days and nights figured out!

Emma is going to Springville to stay for a few days and entertain Grace and Grant! Dad and Mom (Grandma and Grandpa) went last week to help install a sprinkler system, but that was just an excuse to hold babies :)

Crazy Life

28 June 2014 - On Thursday my new boss, John, stepped into my office and asked if I wanted to see a forest fire.  So we hopped in the company Tahoe and raced over to our neighbor Apache County.  As we got closer John started reminding me of Dad, twisting his body to get the perfect picture!  We turned onto a dirt road and were being followed by a big forest service truck.   We came around the bend and there was a sheriff's office road block.  John reached over and flipped on our red & blue lights (yes, my work vehicle has cop lights) and we passed the road block and pulled over to talk to the officers.  They got us up to date and told us that we needed to go down to the local fire station because that is where the command post was being set up.  They would be able to give us more information and let us know if there was anything that we could do.
We pulled up and were drafted!  John was asked to be the operations section chief (make sure things were running smoothly) and I was asked to be the logistics section chief (keeping up to date list of resources available and what everyone was doing.)
To make a long story short, it was exhausting but a very eye opening experience.  The fire is still burning but seems to be under control for the most part.

Unexpected Surprise

Now that the weather is warming up, we have been going on early morning walks.  We usually leave about 5:15 and get back around 6:00.  We walk through the back fields and usually see a few bunnies and some killdeer.  This morning we rounded the bend to start on our way home and as we approached a large tree (I have no idea what kind) a huge owl burst out of the branches and flew away.  It was enormous!  Wow!

They flew the coop!

Well, our little family of robins has left but we wanted to share some recent pictures!  They aren't very good and close because the parents were REALLY aggressive and would fly at our heads when we got too close.

If you look closely you can see the worm in mom's beak.

They arrived!!!

1 June 2014 - We were sitting on our back porch enjoying a beautiful evening when I noticed a robin fly into our apple tree with a bug in it's mouth.  So we went to investigate.

Scott made a little whistle sound and....
