Flake Fun

Things are flying along here in Snowflake. Since I last blogged, James turned 4, much to his delight.  We had a low key birthday but he enjoyed it.

We had a delightful visit to Utah and loved seeing those of you that were able to visit. The Pumpkin Walk was really fun.

Back at home we went to the homeschool day at the pumpkin patch which was really fun.  Then we selected and carved some pumpkins with Scott.

Our library has been closed for 3 weeks and so they are now providing curbside service! Only in a small town! I can call and tell them specific books or topics or just tell them that we need new books.  Then I park outside the library, give them a call to let them know I'm there, and they bring our books out! It was delightful to have Ms. Charlotte come out and say, "we just got this one in and I thought Robin would enjoy it!"

The weather decided to get cold on Oct 30th so we had a nippy ward trunk or treat but the kids seemed to really enjoy it.

Rand dressed up as Iron Man. Robin was a princess and James was a construction worker.  They were so bundled up no one could see any part of their costumes but they had fun anyway.

I had a great birthday and got to rake leaves which I have missed surprisingly.   Scott got me a pitchfork which I am putting to good use. The big news of the day was the surprise that Scott arranged. Imagine my shock when my in-laws came over and handed me the deed to the property! Yep, for my 43rd birthday I got 43 acres of land! Yay!!

Hyde Happinesses

Life has been fun lately. The weather has turned cold suddenly, but I like it!  There is snow on the mountains and I’m here for it! All I’m saying is that if it’s gonna be cold, there better be snow 🤷🏼‍♀️

Before it got too cold, we went to Little Bear Bottoms and did their corn maze and tramp, and played in their corn pit. They also had some fun zip lines and a big hay maze with a huge slide. Stetson was in heaven. We went once with Cams brother and wife, then I took Stetson by myself a few days later and it was such a blast. He is SO fun to play with. He’s getting really really bossy which is honestly so funny.

Cam and I attended a Halloween party which was so fun! I actually have a huge complaint with Halloween costumes for adults, but Cam was the hero and thought of the perfect costume. Everyone was telling us to do some sort of Disney couple or something like that, and here’s my rant: I don’t dress up as an adult!! I don’t have a dress up bin. And if you dress up like someone specific (like Rapunzel and Flynn Rider), you have to have the specific costumes or else no one will get it. Sooooo Cam had the idea to dress up like Jack and Jill!! Ya know, the ones who fell down the hill. Anyway, that was awesome because you don’t have to have a specific costume and people still know who you are!! It was awesome. Pics to come. Stetson got to stay home with grandma, and he had the best time. On actual Halloween, Stetson dressed up as the cutest fisherman you’ve ever seen, and we went trick or treating at grandma and grandpas house. We ate some yummy pizza shaped like a jack-o-lantern, decorated cookies and a huge pumpkin, and laughed and played. It was so fun. Definitely would recommend.

It was so fun to have Elise, Jack, and Peter come for the day. Cam took the boys fishing even though it was rainy and cold, and Elise and I went shopping for our gender reveal.  It was fun to have them here when we did our gender reveal. Definitely made it a lot more fun to have them around :)

Love you guys. Hope you have a wonderful week!!

Also, Stetsons favorite past time recently is asking to drive grandmas car. And listen to the baby in his tummy with the Doppler.

Since it’s been getting cold outside, we got Stetson a fishing game. Now whenever he catches one, he holds it up and says “cheese” and waits for me to take a picture. I love it.
